I tucked some cute fairy lights into a pumpkin tea candle holder jar and loved the way it looked in a black box set-up. I wanted practice painting strong, dramatic lighting alla prima so that I could tackle some jack o’lantern paintings for Halloween this year. Oil on canvas panel, 7 × 5 inches.
